GovGig GovGig Kirtland, NM Kirtland, NM Full-time Full-time $100,000 - $120,000 a year $100,000 - $120,000 a year The Federal Construction Superintendent holds the responsibility of overseeing daily site construction activities, and managing all necessary field personnel to ensure the successful completion of the project within the designated schedule and budget.
This encompasses upholding the highest quality standards, supervising trade and field personnel, and implementing effective construction safety practices throughout all on-site activities.
Key
Responsibilities:
Provide daily on-site supervision of subcontractors Monitor contractor production, schedule, and performance Manage subcontractor Daily Production Reports Assist with coordination aspects as directed by the Project Managers Comply with all guidelines, policies, and procedures established by the company while on shift, on-call, or attending training.
Initiate problem-solving and perform repairs on any required work-related equipment, in a timely manner and within the boundaries of previous training Conduct safety audits.
Assist with contractor quality control and safety at construction locations Assist and fill in for the company's Project Managers when they are not available Assist subcontractors with Federal (Navy or USACE or AF) procedures and rules Manage subcontractor base access issues Ensure contractors complete work on schedule while fulfilling warranty issues Assist Project Managers on walk-throughs with contractors and the Govt for bidding purposes Work directly with the Public Works Department Communicate daily status of current projects to the Project Manager to ensure all projects are timely and within standards Maintain 100% Compliance Readiness in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements Maintain 100% Safety Standards and Accountability in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements Education/
Experience:
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or GED.
MUST have a minimum of five (5) years of construction-related experience (within the last 10 years) as a superintendent on airfield projects.
Certification:
OSHA 30 certification is a mandatory qualification.
Project Management:
Demonstrated experience in successfully managing projects ranging from $1MM to $30MM.
A valid driver's license is a prerequisite.
CESCL preferred USACE CQM Certification required Compensation package includes:
